The perfect winter wedding venue!

Dreamy winter weddings at Sparth House

Whilst we think Sparth House is just perfect in every season, there’s something magical about a winter wedding here. Whether it’s a full on Christmas, whimsical and frosty or deep and moody theme you’re looking for, with a whole georgian manor house exclusively yours, your winter wedding dreams can come true at Sparth House!

What makes Sparth House perfet for a winter wedding?

Firstly, we’re a manor house, which means plenty of indoor space. But not just space; warm, cosy and comfortable space.

Our Regency, Lounge and sitting room all feature a fully working fire, with sofas or armchairs to make guests feel right at home. When you’re not in the ceremony room or wedding breakfast room, these spaces mean guests aren’t stood waiting uncomfortably.

A winter wedding means you get the best of both night and day - your photographer won’t need to stay until the early hours to get those gorgeous night photos - and with our festoon lit garden, you can capture some incredible photos for your wedding album.

Of course, there’s more to winter than just December, but if Christmas is your thing, a wedding in December means the house is decorated for the festive season.

And to top it off - you’ll start your wedding in the Garden Apartment for the night before, meaning there’s no travel or walking to and from cars during any Lancashire wintery showers!

Winter top tips

  • Opt for a mulled wine drinks reception to warm guests up

  • Guests will likely be inside - so make the most of the space and have a photobooth or singer inside to keep guests entertained

  • Night time comes early, so make the most of it with sparkler shots in the gardens

  • Get outside under the festoon lighting to capture some magical wedding photos for your album

  • Select seasonal canapes, such as our maple roasted pigs in blankets or brie and cranberry crostini

  • Candles, candles and more candles - need we say more?!

We hope you love it…

Make sure you book a show round of the venue during the month you’d like to get married so you can see Sparth House in all it’s glory.
