Bex & Pete’s Wedding

How Bex & Pete put their stamp on their Autumnal wedding!

Our wedding day at Sparth House could not have been any better - and that’s all down to the brilliant team, especially Katie and Olivia!

Bex & Pete were such a fun and relaxed couple and once I’d sat down to discuss their wedding plans with them at their final wedding meeting I knew their guests were in for a good time! They had some fun details planned, that really showed their personalities and fun loving nature. I’ll give you 3 that stood out - pork pie/ live music/ beer lovers!

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHURCH…

Bex & Pete chose to have a church wedding but that didn’t stop our gorgeous bride and her bridesmaids from staying in our Garden Apartment the night before. After getting ready together in the morning, Bex’s dad came up to see his daughter before they left for church. How excited do the girls look!

Nothing was too much trouble, they were great in the run up to the day responding to any last minute questions, and putting us at ease.

LIVE MUSIC CHOICES…

As a self proclaimed Guinness girl and lovers of live music at the pub on a weekend, Bex & Pete put some effort in to bringing that side of their life to their wedding.

During the wedding breakfast, before the wedding they put a great playlist together for us to put on during the wedding breakfast meal and it definitely a good sneak peak into their style of music.

After the meal, whilst we were getting the room ready for the evening, guests moved back through to the lounge where there was a surpise waiting for them. Our bride and groom had booked a band from their local pub that they always go and see and wait for it… it was a ukelele band! There was lots of foot tapping, dancing and I’m pretty sure the groom might have even done the worm in the middle of the circle with all their guests clapping along!

Bex even had a quick outfit change into a cool white jumpsuit and platform converse so she was truly ready to party.

They were a great support on the day, and made sure the day was exactly what we wanted! Cannot thank them, and everyone at Sparth enough!

In the evening, the band Neon Cactus was booked to play and they are a six-piece Motown, Soul and Funk covers act which were a lot of fun and really had guests up on their feet until the early hours.

SOME OF THEIR FAVOURITE FOODS…

Choosing some home comforts but making them fancy was on the agenda here! The wedding couple chose our Posh Penny’s bangers and mash for their main course which is a surprisingly popular option for an Autumn wedding like theirs. Also because we use possibly the best sausages there are from our local butchers, Penny’s! Trust us, they’re another level of tasty.

Then there was the cake. A sweet cake was not an option here but instead… 3 tiers of pork pie! 3 different flavours of filling too. The bride and groom cut it before their first dance like a ‘normal’ cake and we had the pleasure of cutting it up and putting out with their buffet later in the evening for their guests to enjoy.

Not food related but drink - they decorated their tables after some of their favourite bottled beers with matching beer mats as the table names!

A great couple, a super fun wedding and smiles on their faces from start to finish. Thankyou for letting us be a part of your day.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Reynolds!
