What to Expect - The Days Before Your Wedding.

Eeeek! It’s finally here! Whether you’ve been planning this day for 6 months or 6 years, the excitement level is the same. The nerves might be setting in, wedding party whatsapp group is going crazy, but don’t worry - you’ve got this and we’ve got you!

Your wedding at Sparth House is so much more than just the one day; we want your entire experience to be as stress free as possible, and this is crucial in the days leading up to your wedding as everything comes to a head!

Dropping Off & Setting Up

Your wedding coordinator will arrange a day and time for you to drop off any decorations and stationery you have. Bring as much with you as possible - don’t rely on remembering it the day before or on the day - trust us, you won’t!

Tables will all be set up according to your table plan - but if there’s any changes, don’t worry.

If we have a wedding the day before yours, we will be setting up your decorations for you. So it’s important we have everything and it’s labelled. You will drop everything off a few days before your wedding. We will go through and check everything against the event sheet - to make sure we have everything. If required, we can set a wedding breakfast table with you, so you can show us exactly how you want it setting up.

If we don’t have a wedding the day before yours, you will be setting up your decorations and name cards. This will usually be the day before. Top tip: don’t come with too many of your wedding party to set up - perhaps just a parent or best friend - too many people not knowing exactly where things are going will only make things more stressful.

We will then have a sit down to chat about your event sheet and confirm nothing has changed.

The Night Before…

Staying in our Garden Apartment? You lucky thing, you!

If you’re setting up yourself, once you’re done you can head up to the Garden Apartment.

If you’re not setting up as we have a wedding, you will arrive at Sparth House at 4pm.

A member of the team will take you up, show you around and go through everything with you. Then you relax! Your evening meal will brought up to you, the fridge is filled with prosecco and you don’t need to lift a finger or go anywhere until it’s time to get you married the next day! Hair and make-up and photographers can all come up in the morning, along with a member of our team to bring you breakfast.

In the morning we will also talk to you about what to expect and when to be ready for what.

Staying elsewhere the night before?

Your wedding coordinator will have confirmed your arrival time and gone through what to expect when you arrive.

When you arrive, you’ll go straight in to see the registrar, whilst we look after any members of the bridal party.

Last minute changes?

There’s usually always something! But don’t worry - just email your wedding coordinator any changes at all as soon as you know about them.

We have lots of paperwork and set ups relating to your wedding, so this will need changing accordingly.

We can sort almost anything - if we know about it!

Top Tips:

  • Check in with your suppliers the week before your wedding. Perhaps something has changed since you last spoke, so let them know of any updates

  • Get organised early - sort your name cards by table and in order of guests, get decorations labelled and in boxes, check everything off so when it comes to dropping off, you know you’ve got everything

  • Have an evening of ‘me time’. The lead up to your wedding can feel stressful, so take some time out to relax

  • Remember, whilst you’ve never done this before, your venue and suppliers do this week-in-week-out, so you’re in the safest of hands. Trust us and trust your suppliers and you’ll have a much easier ride and enjoy your day more.

  • Ask for help when you need it, but don’t be afraid to politely decline it too!

  • Remember, you’ve got this and we’ve got you!
