What to Expect - The Morning of your Wedding!
Eeeek! It’s finally here! It’s your wedding morning - the first day of the rest of your life. But what exactly happens and when. How do you know where you need to be and by what time? It can all feel a bit daunting when you’ve never done it before, but don’t worry, our wedding coordinators will guide you through it!
Waking up in the Garden Apartment…
6am-8am - Hair and make-up will usually arrive during these hours. This depends on how many are in your bridal party and the number of artists working. They will confirm with you nearer the time. They can go straight up to the Garden Apartment when they arrive.
8:30am - Breakfast! One of the wedding team will come up and say good morning, and bring your breakfast up to you. We will open and prepare the Bucks Fizz if you like too.
The wedding coordinator will ask you to aim to be ready at least 1-hour before your ceremony time. This is so you can gather yourselves, sort any hair/make-up/outfit issues, have any bridal party or reveal photos and not need to rush! You would much rather be ready early and have chance to relax with a glass of fizz before your get wed, than feel like you are rushing from one thing to another.
11am-12pm - Photographer will arrive to get your ‘getting ready photos’. They actually get those make-up shots when you’ve already had your make-up done so don’t worry that this seems late! They will be able to catch your partner arriving and any guests too.
An hour to go - A member of our team will be up an hour before your ceremony to start moving your bags across to bedrooms. Anything left or belonging to someone not staying will be moved to the Bridal Suite. You don’t need to move anywhere though - you stay right there in the Garden Apartment until it’s time to get married! If you would like any one to come up to you, please let the wedding coordinator know and we will get them for you.
15 minutes to go - As soon as we have moved your guests through to the ceremony room, we will come up to get you and your bridal party. You will stay with the registrars (if applicable) whilst we take your bridal party and get them organised. We’ll get them in their order to walk down the aisle, explain where they are sitting and make sure they’re holding bouquets correctly!
Off we go! - We will then line up outside the ceremony room (weather permitting) and send you off down the aisle to meet the love of your life!
Staying elsewhere the night before?
Your wedding coordinator will have confirmed your arrival time and gone through what to expect when you arrive.
When you arrive, you’ll go straight in to see the registrar, whilst we look after any members of the bridal party.
Once you’re all set - off we go to get you married!
We hope this helps calm some of those pre-wedding jitters!
