How to make your wedding memorable!

Creating a memorable wedding that is personal, fun and full of love is top of every couple’s list. You’ll want guests to leave thinking ‘wow’ and talk about how amazing your day was for years to come.

Before we start, you should always remember what’s important to you both for your day. You don’t need everything everywhere all at once - this can make a wedding feel disjointed and you’ll loose touch of what everyone is really there for - celebrating the two of you!

We’ve broken down some ideas in to three categories below: styling, food & drink and experiences & entertainment. One might be the only thing that matters to you, or it might be a small touch of all three.

Styling

If you have a dream style in mind - pick it and stick to it. Carry it through in everything, from your stationery to centrepieces. If it doesn’t fit with your moodboard, don’t buy it!

Styling doesn’t just apply to your wedding breakfast tables either. Don’t forget all those little areas in your venue that you can add your own personal touch to - like your welcome sign, the front door, your cake, and the bar and drink reception spaces.

Making everywhere look beautiful doesn’t have to be expensive either. Simple bud vases with your chosen style flower are really effective and can be popped out anywhere.

Coloured napkins are also a really cost effective way to elevate the look and feel of your wedding breakfast whilst adding a touch of your style.

Food & Drink

If food and drink is your thing, then this is where we can really help!

All guests expect the standard welcome drink, wedding breakfast with wine and then evening food. So making your wedding memorable if food and drink is your thing, comes in the form of adding things they don’t expect.

  • Sip & Slide Canapés - Our delicious mini burgers with complementing miniature drink. Canapés are a nice surprise, but canapes with a drink are even better. Not many of your guests will have been to a wedding where they’ve seen this before.

  • Prosecco top ups - Glass getting a little low? Our servers will be right over to keep the bubbles coming, topping up guests glasses. It’s luxury and a super simple way to treat your guests.

  • Cocktail Hour - Imagine coming back to the lounge and bar after your wedding breakfast and there being a selection of cocktails all lined up waiting for your guests to help themselves to. It’s a little bit of luxury and totally unexpected. It signals that you’re not done treating them yet and what a way to start the evening!

  • Gin Bar - Your very own gin bar with gins personally selected by you, with matching menus? Your guests will love discovering the gin bar in our sitting room and being served by one of our team. This is a more elegant way of putting a bit of money behind the bar.

Experiences & Entertainment

You don’t need 10 things happening all at once during your drinks reception. It’s best to spread things out throughout your day. A few of the above are also great experiences to. Experiences delight guests and they will alsways remember having fun!

  • Photobooth - you can have these all day with Reflections Entertainment as they’re so neat and tidy. They also have a really cool 360 booth that takes videos that all guests can view online!

  • Musicians - you can have live music at every point in your day and it really changes the atmosphere. We love live music during wedding breakfast, as all your guests are in the same room together, but it’s also great during guest arrival, drinks reception and room turnaround time.

  • Illustrators & Magicians - Illustrators are a relatively new thing to the wedding scene, but they are such a fun talking point and your guests will leave with a super personal momento from your day. Much better than spending money on favours that get left behind on tables! Magicians are also a great ice breaker for guests and get some incredible reactions from guests during drinks reception or room turnaround.
