Why you don’t need a ceremony rehearsal…

A question we get asked so often is ‘when do we do a rehearsal?’ But the answer is you don’t! Not because it’s not something we do, but because of everything we do that means you don’t need one.

We know you’ve probably never done this before and it’s a super nervous time, but we look after not just you, but every single one of your guests so well, that all you need to do is relax and enjoy it.

Here’s everything we do to make your walk up the aisle stress free…

Reserved Signs

On your ceremony sheet we ask you to complete, there’s a space for you to put the names of your nearest and dearest who you would like reserved signs making for. We will check that there’s a space for everyone walking down the aisle, your witnesses and anyone else that may need to be close to the front. You can also tell us about any wheelchair users or those that need a little extra space.

We then pop your reserved signs out on the chairs in the right spaces and ensure those walking down the aisle, know which side and row they are on.

Song Timings

Also on your ceremony sheet is space for you to list all your song choices for your ceremony. But along with just the choice, we also ask for the time in that song you would like to enter the ceremony room. You can pop the timings down for each member of your bridal party, or just yourself and we will work out the rest.

Not fussy or don’t know when’s best? Just ask your wedding coordinator to work out the best timings for you and we’ll be happy to organise for you!

The Bridal Party Pep Talk

As a Sparth House couple, you’ve had months of us looking after you and should know by now to trust us completely - but your bridesmaids and wedding party haven’t had the same experience so can often panic and want to ask a million questions and someone will usually take the role of organiser; but they don’t have to! Whilst you are in chatting to the registrar before your ceremony, we will take all your wedding party walking down the aisle for their ‘pep talk’.

We will tell them their order (and put them in it!), tell them where they are sitting, explain how to hold their bouquet and what they need to do when they get to the bottom of the aisle. They will usually have forgotten how to walk - but we will help them with that too! We will tell them everything they need to know before the ceremony so it’s nice and fresh in their minds!

Of course we can’t forget the person walking you down the aisle and the star of the show - so we will go through the same things with you too.

The Groomsmen

We can’t forget the boys! Even if they have helped with the planning throughout and know the wedding inside out - the nerves on the day can make them forget their own name! So we don’t want to bother them with any questions if we can help it. We will have a list of who is having a button hole, so if your flowers are arriving here, have your button holes delivered here too, so we can pop them on - properly - for them. We’re very used to straightening ties and pocket squares too!

We will look after them - let them enjoy guest arrival time - and get them when we need them. We will get the best man to round up all the groomsmen and take them down to the ceremony room and tell them what to do. When all your guests are in place and we’re almost ready to begin, we’ll walk them to the bottom of the aisle ready for the wedding ceremony to start.

Remember, we know weddings and it’s our wedding coordinators that run your wedding on the day. We will let you know when we need you, we will move guests to where they need to be, and will run the timings of the day - so you don’t need to worry about a thing except making sure you enjoy every single moment!

We hope this eases some of the nerves you may have about the wedding ceremony itself - we know it can be the most daunting part - but you’ll be so focussed on either who is walking down the aisle or who is waiting at the end for you, that those nerves will disappear the moment you enter the room - promise!
