Autumn Romance Styled Shoot

ROMANTIC, MOODY, ELEGANT, AUTUMN

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year to get married and so we wanted to showcase that in the best way possible. With much more time on our hands these last few months, we were itching to get creative and so we set the wheels in motion.

Moodboard

With romance, elegance, yet moody autumnal vibes at the forefront of the concept for this styled shoot I set to work pulling it all together in a moodboard and contacting all the fabulous suppliers that were involved!

We wanted to create something that not only looks amazing and completely different to our previous shoots but we wanted something that our couples can take inspiration from to use within their own wedding style.

So here’s the finished product…. Hope you love it as much as we do!

How it all came together…

Working with a real life couple was a definite must and so glad we did as Claire and Dan’s genuine love for each other was so present throughout the entire shoot!

On the day we had both a photographer and videographer to capture every moment and my word did they succeed! Matt Grainger was our photographer and got us all the images we wanted and more! Whilst Craig from CW Film Productions created a gorgeous wedding film that gives you all the feels and really captures all those lovely loving moments inbetween photos. See for yourself here…

With a selection of stunning wedding dresses picked out with Lee in her store, The Bridal Lounge of Accrington, we decided to chose a few very different dresses to style. One of my favourites was a gorgeous, sleek gown that has an incredible button back with big train! It looked amazing styled with Claire’s hair in loose waves and the most perfect pearl ‘Everlasting Tiara’ from Arianna Tiaras sitting proudly on top. Make up for this look was very fresh, with dewy skin and a nude lip teamed with a beautiful rose gold, shimmer eye. The ladies from Nala & Knot perfected our visions for both hair and make up looks on the day.

Opposites attract so for the second look we chose a dark lip with a slight smokey eye and a messy bun framing the face. Purity pearl hair pins and matching tassel earrings again from Arianna Tiaras finished the look with a super long veil secured neatly under the high bun. We went for a gorgeous dusky pink satin knot, peep toe shoe which looked so cute peeking out under the dresses!

As for the Groom, Dan also had two looks. His first was a classic tux with velvet bow tie, crisp white shirt and black patent shoes. His second look was a little more modern, we chose a striped velvet suit jacket with a mustard knit tie. This jacket was gorgeous and a lovely slim fit too! Both looks were from ASOS and really complimented the brides gowns.

Now for the venue styling…

The bit where we can get really creative! Flowers and tables centrepieces were in the hands of the fabulous Julie at Hedgehogg Florist and she fully embraced the theme with candles everywhere, rich colours and lots of texture. The height on the top table display was incredible and our fabulous stone arch that we uncovered during renovations became the most beautiful photo opportunity with the floral garland added.

As for the tables themselves, we got in touch with the ladies at Opulent Events for linen and opted for a dark black to really stand out against the newly painted Alexandra Suite with a mustard napkin to pop against it and bring out all the touches of gold.

Speaking of gold, we hired the most incredible tableware from Whitehouse Event Crockery and went for two very different looks, both of which complimented each other perfectly!

Layering up textures on the tables, we added some amazing leather cow hides to the tables and touches of aubergine coloured suede to the cutlery bundles. We went classic on the chairs with limewash chiavari chairs throughout from Chairman Hire. Adding a little touch of glam to the ceremony room chairs with a dark green faux suede sash.

Our table settings were finished of beautifully with watercolour menus which were handpainted with gold touches from Katie at Let Love Sparkle Design. The cutest (and tastiest) macarons were added as little favours which complimented the wedding cake itself. Jo from A Cake Occasion hit the brief perfectly with a textured cake in geometric shapes, detailed with hand crafted sugar flowers and hand painted gold accents!

And finally…

We couldn’t do a styled shoot and not take advantage of our lovely grounds and cosy spots in the house! The sun even came out to say hello to us for a bit and the light was beautifully perfect.

We hope you love it as much as we all do - massive thanks once again for all the amazing suppliers that worked on it with us.
